DIXFIELD — The RSU 10 withdrawal and the Public Works and Grounds budget will be among the topics discussed during the selectmen’s meeting on 5 p.m. April 22 at Ludden Library.

During the April 8 RSU 10 board meeting, the School Board approved an agreement with the Dixfield Withdrawal Committee. The weighted vote was 9,568-7,640.

Following the April 8 board meeting, Bruce Ross, who was the board representative on the Dixfield Withdrawal Committee, said that the withdrawal process started when a proposal was made last year to combine Mountain Valley and Dirigo high schools into one, and Mountain Valley and Dirigo middle schools into one.

The board will also have a public hearing to discuss whether or not to approve a liquor license for Surry Seafood.

Discussion on the proposed Public Works and Grounds budget will also occur during the board meeting.

Selectmen and the Finance Committee will meet at 5 p.m. April 29 to continue discussion of the town budget.
