Learn the art of stacking stones
HARTFORD — Tipping Point Stone Artisans will host a workshop on the art of stone stacking with students from Maine Collage of Art from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
The workshop is designed by Laurie Babineau, 1996 graduate of the school, and her husband Michael Beaulieu, who have been stacking and balancing stones both privately and on commission.
Stacked stones have been around for hundreds of years and can be found in random places all over the world. Michael and Laurie look forward to teaching this art to many different groups in the future as a way of meditation, team building and for younger kids it is a creative way to learn physics.
