Seminar: Tax-free investing
GRAY — A free seminar on “Tax-free Investing: It’s not what you make, it’s what you keep” will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Gray-New Gloucester Adult Education center.

Marathon party, reg. at Guthries
LEWISTON — A pre-race party will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Guthries, 115 Middle St.
Pints of Baxter Stowaway IPA will be $5, with proceeds going to Museum LA. Participants can register for either The Bands on the Run Half Marathon, the Lake Auburn Half Marathon, or both.
There will be a live performance by Ron Bergeron and raffle prizes.

ASL talent show is April 27
LISBON FALLS — Lisbon High School students will host the American Sign Language Talent Show featuring Trix Bruce from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the gymnasium of the high school, 2 Sugg Drive. Cost at the door is $5.
Patricia “Trix” Bruce, from Seattle, is known nationwide as both a workshop presenter and an ASL performer. Trix’s work has been warmly received everywhere, from local community centers, to state, regional and national conferences, Deaf Way II, interpreter conventions and more. Wildly popular as a teacher of ASL storytelling and ASL interpretation, Trix impresses audiences at all levels of ASK skill, from novices to fluent experts.

Guitar and banjo at Ricker Library
POLAND — The fifth presentation of Ricker Memorial Library’s year-long series will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Admission is free.
The program will feature Bill Berlinghoff on guitar and banjo while singing Tennessee mountain music, folk music from the ’50s and ’60s, coffee house topical songs and rowdy Irish tunes.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to just sing along with him. Berlinghoff has enjoyed a 45-year career appearing in most states along the east coast. He has also entertained in Colorado and Oregon.

Baked bean, spaghetti supper
POWNAL — The North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, will hold a public baked bean and spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

Italian supper at Hebron Fire House
HEBRON — An Italian supper will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Hebron Fire House. The meal will be prepared by the Greenwood Mountain Inn. Proceeds will benefit the Hebron Historical Society. Cost is $8, $4 under 12.
