LEWISTON — Sections of Blake and Bates streets remain closed Tuesday morning after a fire destroyed three apartment buildings Monday in downtown Lewiston.

The Lewiston Police and Fire departments have closed both Blake and Bates streets from between Pine Street and Ash Street.

The departments are also requesting that people stay away from the fire scene.
