Historical Soc. prepares to open
RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society Board of Directors will be preparing the Lufkin School Museum in Rumford Center for its summer opening on June 1. Bring buckets, cleaning rags and portable vacuum cleaner, if available.
Anyone having items to donate for the annual fund-raising yard sale, scheduled for June 1, with a rain date of June 8, may bring their donations to the Lufkin School between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, May 25. No clothing will be accepted, but household items, tools and potted plants are always welcome.
Stephens High Class of 1949
WILTON — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 of Rumford will meet for their regular monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Calzolaio in Wilton’s former Bass Shoe Factory.
Night of the Arts planned at MVHS
RUMFORD — Student artists and musicians at Mountain Valley High School will present Night of the Arts from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the cafeteria.
Displays will include drawings, paintings, photographs, quilts and ceramics, to name a few. Members of the jazz band will provide a musical interlude.
Refreshments will be served.
