PARIS — Three men accused in January of trafficking cocaine in Mexico and Carthage pleaded not guilty Tuesday at their arraignments in Oxford County Superior Court.

Daniel R. Allen, 53, of Swett  Avenue in Mexico faces three Class A charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, each punishable by up to 30 years in jail and a $50,000 fine.

Dana Lee Richardson, 54, of Ledgeview Street in Mexico faces three Class A charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Wayne G. Sinclair, 53, also of Ledgeview Street, faces two charges of Class B charges of trafficking in scheduled drugs, each punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a $20,000 fine.

All three pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

A fourth man charged in the case, Darren K. Joudrey, 51, of Roxbury Road, Mexico, was not present in court Tuesday.  He was indicted last month on two Class B charges of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

In January, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said undercover drug agents bought cocaine from the men 10 times over the course of a year.

Police from several agencies were involved in the arrests and searches of the men’s homes. Police seized drugs, cash, scales, packing material and phones, McCausland said. Undercover drug purchases took place at several homes and businesses in Rumford and Mexico, McCausland said.
