NORWAY — Rev. Anita Miller White will lead worship and join in fellowship time on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.
After serving many churches in Maine, White, a graduate of Bates College (’67) and a graduate of Bangor Theological Seminary (MDiv’82), comes to Norway as one of UCC’s part-time interim ministers.
Most recently, White served the Raymond Village Church, UCC as their part-time minister from June to October 2012. Until her retirement from Hebron Academy, White served as chaplain and chairperson of the English Department. She also created and was chair of the Religion and Ethics Department of Hebron Academy. From 2001-11, many in the Oxford Hills area will remember her as the minister of the Waterford Congregational Church, UCC.
