Garments of Praise shop open
PARIS — Garments of Praise, a thrift shop for gently used clothing, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday at South Paris Baptist Church, 1 Park St.
The shop carries men’s, women’s and children’s clothing for a suggestion donation.
Gently used clothing is now being accepted for donation. Children and youth clothing are especially needed.

RUMFORD — The Rumford Center Cemetery Association will have their annual meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Rumford Center Town Hall.
Chesterville Homemakers
CHESTERVILLE — On Thursday, May 16, at 7 p.m., the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet to discuss possible heart crafts at the Chesterville Town Office on the Dutch Gap Road.
Everyone is encouraged to bring an idea or sample of a colorful, bright heart design for the group’s contribution to the Rotary Tree to be auctioned for charity in December.
Members will also look at the suggestions received so far for the June outing. New suggestions are welcome.

Honey Bee Club demonstrations
HARRISON — The Honey Bee Club will hold a day of demonstrations and information starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Harrison Historical Museum, 121 Haskill Hill.
Demonstrations include making mutable and stronger nukes for early spring, putting bee hives together, raising queen bees and medicating and taking care of honey bees during late spring and summer.

Youth Ministry rummage sale
NORWAY — The Youth Ministry of St. Catherine’s Church will hold a rummage sale from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the parish hall, 32 Paris St.
There will be a good selection of summer clothing and white elephant items.
Proceeds will be used for retreats and programs for young people.

PARIS — A public inside yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the VFW Post 9787, Main Street.

Finnish, American buffet supper
WEST PARIS — A public buffet supper featuring Finnish, American and other ethnic foods will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 18, a the Finnish American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
The supper is hosted by the Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine.
Red Hat Mommas to meet May 29
RUMFORD — On April 21, 17 members of Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine went to the “Nunsense” play at Lewiston Community Theater, followed by dinner at DaVinci’s Restaurant.
On April 25, 11 Red Hat ladies held their monthly meeting with lunch at the Green Ladle in Lewiston.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, May 29, at the Mill Hill Inn in Bethel. The group will leave Marden’s at 5 p.m.
