KINGFIELD — Franklin County Sheriff’s Department investigated a collision between a sport utility vehicle and a deer Tuesday night on Route 27.

Alexander Larochelle, 19, of Kingfield escaped injury when a deer ran in front of his 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada at about 9:39 p.m., Lt. David Rackliffe said.

The deer was killed. The accident occurred near Ira Mountain on Route 27, he said.
