KINGFIELD — Franklin County deputies apprehended a Phillips woman within an hour after receiving a report of an armed robbery at the Western Maine Pharmacy at about 4 p.m. Monday.

Police say Michelle Wilcox, 27, entered the pharmacy at 238 Main St. and handed a note to the clerk stating that she had a weapon and wanted all the Suboxone in stock, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.

The clerk handed over the drug and the woman left, he said.

A witness at the scene saw the woman get into a pickup truck and head for High Street, Nichols said in a release.

Through witness accounts and other information at the scene, the investigators were led to a residence on the Toothaker Pond Road in Phillips where they found the vehicle suspected to be involved in the robbery.

They found Wilcox, identified her and arrested her on a felony charge of robbery and theft of the drugs. The note used in the robbery was recovered along with all the drugs taken, he said.

Wilcox was taken to Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington, where she remains Tuesday with bail set at $50,000 cash.

Lts. David St. Laurent and David Rackliffe supervised the scene with the assistance of Cpl. Nate Bean, Deputies Chris Chase, Nate Reid, Nicholas Zecher and Maine State Police Detective Randall Keaton and Trooper Reid Bond.
