LISBON — Lisbon Adult Education will hold a special presentation of the “In The Blood” documentary from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 12.

The presentation is an illustration of the legendary Maine lumbermen, river drivers and also sheds new light on their remarkable skills and character. By combining film, photography, oral histories and a live musical soundtrack performed by Sumner McKane and Joshua Robbins, “In The Blood” is both illuminating and entertaining for all.

The following courses and activities are also planned:

Men’s basketball open gym begins Tuesday, June 11, from 7 to 8 p.m. for eight weeks.

American Sign Language II begins Wednesday, June 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for six weeks.

Zumba Fitness runs from 7 to 8 p.m. for nine weeks beginning Thursday, June 13.

Yoga is from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays for six weeks beginning June 18.

Freezing fresh fruits and vegetables will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18.

Computers for beginners begins Tuesday, June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. for six weeks.

Intro to Microsoft Word begins Wednesday, June 19, from 6to 8 p.m. for six weeks.

A concealed weapons permit class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.

Acrylics on Canvas will run from 6 to 8 p.m. for five weeks beginning Thursday, July 18.

GED is Tuesdays/Thursdays in June/August from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

GED Prep Skills is Wednesdays in June/August from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Math Course Lab is Wednesdays in June/August from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Adult Education Diploma is by appointment only. University of Maine System courses via ITV (delayed viewing) and test proctoring are offered by appointment only.
