CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Carrabassett Valley Academy will offer three camps on their campus this summer for athletes of all sports, not just skiing and snowboarding. Featured camps will be Human Performance Camp, Trampoline and Skate Camp, and Mountain Bike Camp.
The Human Performance camps focus on fun and overall development of athletes where they can gain access to sports scientists and coaches during the off-season. This camp gives the athletes the opportunity to evaluate their fitness, manage their fitness and gain an invaluable education in athleticism. They will receive a complete fitness evaluation and receive a personal report.
Trampoline and Skate Camp is for those ages 9-17 who want to sharpen their skills. They will train with CVA coaches at the Anti-Gravity Complex to increase confidence on the trampoline and in the park, all while having the summer camp experience.
Mountain Bike Camp is a great introduction to the sport of mountain biking. The town of Carrabassett Valley has an extensive network of high quality mountain bike trails suitable for any ability level. During the one-week camp, bikers will be exposed to mountain bike maintenance and riding skills. Campers should be capable of riding a mountain bike 10 miles comfortably in variable terrain.
