The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Anna Smedley and Amie Daniels, both of Lewiston, and Nick Cormier of Auburn to serve as team members and AmeriCorps volunteers for the 2013 season.
The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout the state, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation.
Smedley is the daughter of John Smedley and Carole Parker, also of Lewiston. She is a 2010 graduate of Lewiston High School.
Daniels is the daughter of Donna Dube and Scott Daniels, also of Lewiston. She is a 2008 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, where she studied environmental science and minored in art and religion.
Cormier is the son of Leo and Linda Cormier, also of Auburn. He is a 2011 graduate of Poland Regional High School and attends the University of Maine, where he studies wildlife ecology.
