AUBURN — Students from the Lewiston/Auburn area will be welcomed to Baxter Academy of Technology and Science, the new regional public charter high school in Portland.

The school has announced they will provide student transportation from a hub in the Lewiston/Auburn area starting in September. An informational session open to the public is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Auburn Public Library.

Baxter Academy, 54 York St., Portland, is a free public high school focusing on science, technology, engineering and math and encouraging innovation and creativity through a small school setting, project-based learning and internships in Portland’s tech center.
