BRIDGTON — Loon Echo Land Trust has accomplished much over the past 26 years and would like to invite the public for an afternoon open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at 8 Depot St., Suite 4.
Join the organization for light refreshments and conversation about past accomplishments and most recent successes and endeavors. There will be opportunities to ask board and staff members questions about current land preserves including their latest acquisition, Hacker’s Hill, and the ambitious 1,600-acre Perley Mills Community Forest Project. Each preserve is unique and offers public nature-based recreational opportunities such as walking, hiking, picnicking, snowmobiling and ATVing.
There will also be several door prizes chosen throughout the afternoon. “If you have never visited us and have wondered who we are and what we do this is a great opportunity to find out,” said Beth Phelps, Membership Coordinator.
Loon Echo Land Trust protects land in the northern Sebago Lake region of Maine. Its mission is to conserve the region’s natural resources and character for current and future generations.
