CARRABASSETT VALLEY — A July 4 celebration will take place Thursday, July 4, from noon to dark at the Town Park.
Food booths will open at noon at the New Portland Fire Department.
Set up for the children’s parade will be at 12:15 p.m. at Tufulio’s parking lot, with the parade at 12:30 p.m.
The town pool will open at 12:30 p.m. weathing permitting.
Music by Kathy’s Karaoke will take place from 1 to 5 p.m.
Roving magic by The Great Stefan will start at 1:30 p.m.
Children’s arts and crafts projects will happen from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
There will be surprises in the sawdust pile at 2:30 p.m.
The fire chief and staff will give firetruck rides from 3 to 5 p.m.
Music by Sharon Buck and Dixon Road Band will take place from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Fireworks by Central Maine Pyrotechnics will happen around 9 p.m.
Bring a chair, swimsuit, towel, tennis rackets and sunscreen.
