GARDINER — At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center will host an evening with Lucy Wainwright Roche and special guest Suzzy Roche.
Singer-songwriter Wainwright Roche, daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and Suzzy Roche (The Roches) and half-sister of Rufus and Martha Wainwright, was born and raised in New York City. She spent her formative years traveling with and among her large musical family.
Joining Lucy will be her mother Suzzy who, along with her sisters (Lucy’s aunts) Maggie and Terre Roche, make up the female vocal group The Roches, known for their original harmonies. The Roches were major influences on the early careers of such artists as the Indigo Girls.
Advance general admission tickets will be $20 or $22 at the door. Doors will open at 7 p.m. VIP tickets will be $35 and only 25 are available. VIP tickets include a pre-show event starting at 6:30 p.m. This event will include a meet-and-greet with Lucy, first-pick seating, a cash bar, and light hors d’oeuvres.
