SOUTH PARIS — Patricia E. Guy, 81, of South Paris lost her long battle with cancer on July 9.

Patricia was born March 5, 1932, in Rumford, the daughter of the late Chester and Hazel (Draper) Wade. She attended Stephens High School in Rumford.

She worked at several restaurants in the Rumford area, also at Raytheon in Massachusetts, Diamond National and Rumford Hospital, but her most important job was raising her family.

Patricia loved to listen to music and dance, getting her hands dirty in the garden, diving into a good book and making crafts. She had a great love for a good view, whether it was by the ocean, or on a back country road. But most importantly, she loved to spend time with her friends and family.

She is survived by three children; a daughter, Roseanna (McCaffrey) Abbott of Dixfield; two sons, William Guy Jr. of South Paris and Charles Guy of Mechanic Falls; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Gerald Wade of Bangor; and a sister, June Petrie of Wilton.

Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William Frederick Guy Sr.
