WEST PARIS — The Neighborhood Niche Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at West Paris Baptist Church, 15 Church St.

The pantry is open the first and third Tuesday of each month. West Paris residents are invited to come once a month.

Spurrs Corner food pantry hours

OTISFIELD — The food pantry at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121, will be open Tuesday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The pantry is open to residents of Otisfield on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. For information call 583-4780 or 627-4329.

Forum with anti-war activist

NORWAY — A public interest forum with anti-war activist Lisa Savage will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Fare Share Commons, 443 Main St.

Drawing upon women’s collective wisdom, Savage will discuss alternatives to militarization.

Refreshments will be available.

Savage serves as Maine coordinator of Code Pink, a grassroots peace and justice movement initiated by women. She also helps lead the Maine Campaign to “Bring our war $$ back home.”

The full-time teacher, who lives in Solon, speaks at anti-war rallies, leads demonstrations and maintains a blog at went2thebridge.blogspot.com.
