Free lunches for children
BRIDGTON — Free lunch is available for children Monday through Friday from approximately noon to 1 p.m. at the Bridgton Community Center as well as these locations during fair weather: Highland Beach, Junior Harmon Field, Woods Pond and Sawyer Circle.
Bethel community blood drive
BETHEL — A community blood drive will be sponsored by the Parrot Head Club of the Northern Tropics from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Crescent Park Elementary School Gym.
Enjoy tropical music among tiki umbrellas, palm trees and a tiki bar. Tropical frozen concoctions will be served while supplies last.
All presenting donors will receive a coupon for free ice cream.

SeniorsPlus at town offices
NORWAY — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at Norway Town Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, and at the Rumford Town Office from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 24.
Representatives will be on hand to answer questions or concerns.

Mural painting classes offered
BRIDGTON — Adult mural painting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18-20 at Bridgton Community Center. The cost is $40.
A free youth mural painting class will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25-27 at Bridgton Community Center.

Story hours on Thursdays
FAYETTE — The Underwood Memorial Library Story Hours are being held on Thursdays at 10 a.m. at the library. The theme for the summer is “Dig Into Reading.” Have some summer fun with Lady Elaine and Friends.
Paris Cape society meeting
PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the museum at 77 High St.
After a brief business meeting Barbara Payne will speak on “Humor and Nostalgia of Yesterdays” based on her own experiences. This is a change in program previously announced due to a conflict. The program on the Museum Train will be presented at another time.
Everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be served.
Fire Auxiliary bake sale July 20
FAYETTE — The annual bake sale for the Fayette Fire Auxiliary will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Fayette Fire Station. For sale will be pies, breads and lots of other goodies.
Potluck picnic, historical program
HEBRON — The Hebron Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. The program will be a history of the Buckfield-Hebron rescue unit presented by David Whittier. It will be preceded by a potluck picnic at the building at 6 p.m. The public is invited.
Kingdom Rock week for kids
DIXFIELD — A summer kids’ event called Kingdom Rock will be hosted at the Dixfield Congregational Church from Sunday, July 21, to Thursday, July 25.
At Kingdom Rock, kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, enjoy yummy treats, experience epic Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to stand strong and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.
Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with Fanfare Finale, a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they have learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time.
Kingdom Rock Vacation Bible School is for kids ages 3 and up and will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. each evening. For more information, call 357-5477.
