Ennis is a dynamic, award-winning original group with a unique contemporary voice, ?avored by deep roots and Celtic traditional Newfoundland in?uences. Maureen and Karen are powerful, interesting and humorous story tellers with a broad mix of Maureen’s accessible original songs and uniquely interpreted tunes and ballads.

The lyrics by Maureen from the song “John William” speak of the lineage into which she and her sister Karen were born. Along with their sister Teresa, the girls learned to sing around the time most people learn how to walk. And while that may not be a unique thing for many people from Newfoundland and Labrador, the level of success they have attained since then, certainly is.
