- Emily Anctil, 11, of Lewiston helps release 500 butterflies during the fifth annual Butterfly Release Celebration at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn on Saturday. Guests dedicated butterflies in memory and in honor of loved ones. The names of the 500 people who were honored were read aloud prior to the release. “Just being here again today brought tears to my eyes,” said Michael Lupardo of Auburn. His wife, Brenda Lee Lupardo, died six years ago after spending her last few days at the Hospice House. Anctil and her family honored her grandmother, Patricia C. Anctil, by releasing a butterfly in her name.
