NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will offer a computer class from 1 to 2 p.m. beginning Aug. 1.
Preregistration is required as space is limited. There is no charge.
The class on Gmail will take place on Aug. 1. Learn about accessing email, calendar, notes and contacts from any computer. Learn how to use folders and tags to organize your inbox. Use Gmail to manage all of your other email accounts and have everything in one place.
The class on Google Drive, formerly Docs, will be held on Aug. 8. You will learn storing, composing, editing and sharing all of your documents in one place (the cloud) using only your Web browser.
The class on Facebook will be held on Aug. 15. Learn about privacy settings, “etiquette,” uploading pictures and what “like” means.
Sessions are facilitated by Mike Burd, technology instructor at RSD 9 Adult Education.
