AUBURN — Central Maine Orthopaedics recently added a nurse practitioner to the clinic staff. James Bois, NP-C, of Auburn, has accepted a full-time permanent position after being with CMO on a temporary basis for several months.

Bois provides clinical support at Central Maine Orthopaedics, seeing patients of orthopaedic conditions for after-care. He has also been appointed to the associate professional/allied health staff at Central Maine Medical Center, where he assists with the clinical management of inpatients at the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Maine.

Bois holds a master of science degree in nursing from the University of Maine and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine. He is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Maine Board of Nursing, and is board certified as a family nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Prior to joining CMO, Bois was employed as a staff nurse on the medical/surgical unit and emergency department at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
