The Franklin County Chamber is pleased to announce that Erin Arthers has been hired as the new executive director.
Erin brings lots of energy, enthusiasm, and experience to the position. Most recently, she was executive director for the Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce (approx. 180 members), serving businesses and organizations in the Maine Highlands Region.
She also served on the board of the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council, member of the Downtown Dover-Foxcroft Steering Committee, among others.
Erin is originally from Dover-Foxcroft, Maine and is a graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor of science in business and marketing.
“I look forward to meeting members of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, getting to know their businesses, and hearing their ideas,” said Erin.
Franklin County Chamber of Commerce President Scott Landry is excited to bring Erin on board.
“The Franklin County business community has gotten a great asset in Erin. Her experience working in a region similar to ours is a great fit,” said Landry.
Some of the events Erin worked on in her time in Dover-Foxcroft were the inaugural Piscataquis Heritage Hot Air Balloon Festival that took place May 31-June 2, 2013, and the annual Whoopie Pie Festival.
Now Erin is eager to carry out the mission of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce while working to promote business, tourism, and a strong sense of community in the region.
Please feel free to stop by the chamber office and welcome Erin to the area!
