LEEDS —Glenice A. Pulsifer, 85, a resident of Knapp Road, Leeds, died July 26,after a long illness at her home, with her family at her side.
She was born on May 6, 1928, in Leeds, the daughter of Henry A. and Viva May Hart Francis.
Glenice attended Leeds schools and graduated from Leavitt Institute in 1946. On Oct. 10, 1948, in Lewiston, Glenice married Clyde “Ted” R. Pulsifer Jr.; Clyde passed away in October 2011.
She was a homemaker and postmaster at the Leeds post office, retiring in 1996. Glenice was a member of the Retired Postmasters Association of Maine, a founding member of the Leeds Community Church, a 4-H leader and Junior 4-H leader of Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties. Glenice was an only child and was thankful that she was a member of the large Pulsifer family.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Bonnie Pulsifer and Scott Turcotte of Windham and Randall and Jane Pulsifer of Saco; and three grandchildren, Morgan and Jordan Pulsifer and Glen Turcotte.
She was predeceased by her husband and her parents.
