FARMINGTON — After his foot slipped from the brake of his vehicle at a bank drive-up window Saturday, a Farmington man circled the bank’s parking lot a couple times before striking a parked vehicle, pushing it about 30 feet into another parking lot.
Kenneth Cook, 86, received facial injuries during the incident at TD Bank, located at 670 Wilton Road, police Chief Jack Peck said.
Cook, driving a 2008 Chevrolet SUV, pulled in to the bank drive-up about 10 a.m. Saturday, and his foot slipped off the brake, he said.
After circling the bank lot, he struck a 2007 Chevy passenger car parked there by Marco Gudino-Flores, 35, of Wilton, pushing it across a grassy area in to the parking lot at Bouffard’s Furniture, Peck said. No one was in the parked car.
Cook’s airbag deployed, causing some injury and abrasions to his face, Peck said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene, according to officer Ryan Wagner’s report.
