- Members of the Oxford-area Modern Woodmen of America chapter recently helped raise money for the Anderson/Staples American Legion Post 112 of Oxford by hosting a block party. The event raised $3,000. The amount included $967 matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s Matching Fund program. The money will be used for updates, steps and kitchen venting. Shown presenting a check is Deborah Wagemann of Modern Woodmen of America to Commander Bob Lavertu.
