BIDDEFORD — Brianna Bisesti was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of New England. She graduated May 18 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training, cum laude. She’s the daughter of Jim and Nancy Bisesti of Greene.

She received the American College of Sports Medicine Biomechanics Interest Group Award at the annual meeting and World Congress on Exercise in Medicine of the American College of Sports Medicine in Indianapolis in May. Last November, Bisesti was awarded the NEACSM Undergraduate Research Experience Grant and the Undergraduate Student Investigator Award.

Bisesti recently returned from a trip to Iceland, where she was part of a UNE team studying the effects of cold on physical performance.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Nika Faulkner of Auburn was placed on the president’s list at Pratt Institute for the spring semester. She is an industrial design major at Pratt.

HOUGHTON, Mich.  — Sarah Wade of Farmington participated in the recent Women in Engineering Program on the campus of Michigan Technological University. She joined more than 150 students from 13 states.

WIE is a competitive scholarship program and weeklong exploration of careers in engineering fields, including mechanical, computer, environmental, electrical, chemical, biomedical, civil, geological and materials.

The students also get a taste of college life by spending the week living in Michigan Tech’s residence halls, eating in the dining halls, exploring campus and meeting diverse peers.

MEDFORD, Mass. — Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the spring semester. Among the students is Benjamin Barnes of Readfield, class of 2015.

LOWELL, Mass. — Sathappan Arumugam of Auburn was presented a diploma at UMass Lowell’s commencement exercises on May 18 at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Natalie Bornstein, daughter of Peter Bornstein and Renee Cote of Auburn, was named to the dean’s list at Smith College for her academic achievement for the 2012-2013 school year. The dean’s list recognizes those students with grade point averages of 3.33 or above.

Bornstein graduated from Edward Little High School and is majoring in comparative literature. She recently completed an internship at the Museum of the History of the Polish Jews, which opened in Warsaw, Poland, in April of 2013.
