Friday’s American Legion baseball state tournament game between Pastime Club of Lewiston and Windham was postponed due to rain.
The game will be played at noon on Saturday. It was originally scheduled for 10 a.m., but officials moved it back after Friday’s game between Bangor and Saco and Biddeford Savings of Westbrook was suspended due to rain and scheduled to resume at 10 a.m. Saturday. Westbrook leads Bangor, 7-0, heading to the bottom of the fourth inning.
The winner of the Pastime-Windham game will play again at 3:30 p.m. If Pastime wins, it will face Westbrook. Windham would face Bangor. The loser will be knocked out of the double-elimination tournament. Windham lost to Westbrook on Wednesday. Pastime lost to Bangor on Thursday.
Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between Pastime and Windham since the Zone 3 championship game played last week. Pastime was awarded that game in the 16th inning due to an incorrect rules interpretation.
The other loser’s bracket game postponed on Friday, Red Barn of Augusta vs. Staples Crossing of Eliot, will also be played at noon Saturday. The winner’s bracket game between Bangor and Westbrook scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday is still on.
