SANDY RIVER PLANTATION — Police say a Sebago man received internal injuries Saturday when his motorcycle went off Route 4 and crashed into a sign.

Paul Jonais, 76, was driving a 2013 BMW when he attempted to pass another motorcycle, lost control and hit the sign, Lt. David Rackliffe of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said. He was traveling with a group of riders, he said.

The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. No one else was injured in the incident, which was investigated by Cpl. Nathan Reid.

Jonais was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and then transferred to Central Maine Medical Center.
