KENNEBUNKPORT (AP) — A documentary focusing on the prostitution scandal centered at a Zumba fitness studio in Kennebunk, Maine, is set to be broadcast on cable TV.
A British production company followed the trials of Mark Strong and Alexis Wright from start to finish, and its one-hour documentary will air Tuesday night on TLC. The documentary includes interviews with a few of Wright’s 100-plus prostitution clients, as well as investigators and lawyers.
The case generated international attention.
In March, Wright avoided trial by pleading guilty to charges of promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution, as well as several welfare- and tax-related charges. She was later sentenced to 10 months in jail. Strong, her business partner, served 20 days in jail for his role.
