GREENE — A local man was being evaluated at a Lewiston hospital Wednesday night after vehicles collided on College Road.

Police said John Lavertu, 21, was driving a Toyota Corolla toward Lewiston at about 8:30 p.m. when the driver of a truck turned in front of him.

The truck, a Ford F-150, was driven by Steven Truman, 24, of Chelsea, police said. Truman was turning into the lot of an apartment complex when the vehicles collided.

Lavertu was taken to a Lewiston hospital with an arm injury, police said. Truman was not hurt.

Androscoggin County sheriff’s Detective Maurice Drouin was investigating the cause of the wreck Wednesday night.
