Estimation Run 5k

The Sabattus Recreation Club  Running Program will hold an Estimation Run 5K (also called a prediction run) on Thursday, Aug.29, at 6 p.m. This is a show-up, sign-up event, with registration starting at 5 p.m. Cost to enter is $3.
The 5k course is a slightly hilly, 3.1-mile route beginning and ending at the Oak Hill Middle School on Ballpark Road in Sabattus, just off Route 9.
This is a fun-for-anyone 5k event. You may run, jog or walk the course, and because of the event’s unique format, all participants will have a chance to win prizes. Each participant will estimate the time it will take them to cover the 3.1-mile course. Then everyone will run/walk the route. The idea is to get out and exercise, and have a little fun. No watches or electronic devices will be allowed by any participants. Participants guessing the closest to their actual finish time will win prizes. You need not be fast to win, just a good pacer.
Registration cost is low to encourage participation. Cash prizes will be awarded and will be determined by the number of entrants. For more information, contact Running@sabattusrec.com.
