VASSALBORO (AP) — Police have identified the two men who died in a head-in crash in Vassalboro.

Police said it appears a pickup truck driven by 63-year-old Kenneth Lee drifted into the opposite lane where it collided with a pickup truck driven by 32-year-old Shawn Greenleaf on Route 201 at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Greenleaf suffered massive abdominal trauma and was declared dead at the scene.

Lee also suffered extensive abdominal trauma as well as a leg wound. He was taken MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta where he was pronounced dead.

Both men were from Vassalboro.

The accident remains under investigation. Police said it does not appear as if speed or alcohol were factors.
