- Volunteers from United Way of Androscoggin County, from left, Bart Kelsea, Marc Paquette and Terri Kelsea, all of Lewiston, help fill almost 600 backpacks with donated school supplies Friday morning at the United Way in Lewiston. The bags, some donated from L.L. Bean, and the school supplies, donated from BigLots!, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Androscoggin Chamber Business After Hours and the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Club, will be delivered to schools throughout Androscoggin County for children in need. “It’s a great thing to do and a great cause,” said Bart Kelsea, who has been helping with the program for four years. Poland Spring Water Co. also donated bottles of water for the bags.
