RUMFORD — The wedding of Mallory Teresa Child and Joshua Lee Murphy was held at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 at Parish of the Holy Savior Church in Rumford. The Rev. Picard officiated at the ceremony.
The bride carried a bouquet of white and yellow roses. Rachel Child, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghan Brann, Jennifer Harvey and Brooke Weston, friends of the bride, and Kelly Sleight, cousin of the bride. Elliana Laham, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Best man was Sean Doyle, friend of the bridegroom. Ushers were John Murphy III and Jeb Murphy, brothers of the bridegroom, and Esten Johnson and Mike Nawrocki, friends of the bridegroom. Brady Hopkins, cousin and godson of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Sunday River Ski Resort, after which the couple traveled to Negril in Jamaica. They are residing in Leeds.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Pamela Child of Dixfield. She is a graduate of Dirigo High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed by RSU 10 as a fourth grade teacher at Meroby Elementary School.
The bridegoom is the son of John and Jaye Murphy of Leeds. He is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and the University of New England. He is employed with Martin’s Point.
