AUGUSTA (AP) — State police say the investigation into a former Maine special education teacher charged with sexually assaulting two boys is continuing.
Patrik Ian Arsenault, a special education teacher in Wayne and recently hired as one in Farmington, is charged with sexually assaulting two Clinton boys, ages 6 and 7, this summer in Belgrade.
Investigators allegedly found recordings of the assaults at the 27-year-old Arsenault’s Norridgewock residence and he told police he traded child pornography via email.
Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Safety, told the Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1ccBXmF ) the State Police Computer Crimes Unit plans to thoroughly mine the data on Arsenault’s computer and other electronic devices as part of the investigation.
Arsenault is being held on $100,000 bail. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
