RUMFORD — The Rumford Baptist Church, 112 Washington St., will serve the community by offering a Parent’s Night Out / Kids Club on the first Friday evening of each month for the rest of this year, beginning on Sept. 6.
Many parents find it difficult to find child care so that they can enjoy an evening out together, or in the case of single parents, a child-free evening relaxing or doing something else. The Rumford Baptist church will provide a kids’ program on these evenings so parents can go out to a restaurant, have a quiet early evening together or with friends, or relax in some other way.
Parents may drop off children ages 4-12 from 5:30 through 8 p.m. Some parents may choose to stay for the evening and make it a family night together.
The evening will include games, songs, snacks, crafts and Bible stories and possibly an occasional movie.
