Participants are encouraged to sign in at the auction to receive a bidding number. Door prizes will be drawn. Club members Ted White and Russ Moors are expected to serve as auctioneers.
This time of year is ideal for dividing plants and transplanting them. As summer temperatures cool it is not difficult to keep new plants watered as they establish.
Many different varieties of daylilies are expected to be available, from old tried-and-true cultivars to newer introductions. Siberian irises are well suited to Maine’s climate and generally need less tending than the bearded irises also grown by Iris Society members.
