FARMINGTON — Two-time Olympic champion Seth Wescott will be a special guest Saturday at Titcomb Mountain’s Early Pass Blast, where season passes can be purchased at this season’s lowest prices or with a $50 deposit per membership.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at the mountain.

Wescott, who is originally from Farmington, will sign and give out posters of his home mountain, Sugarloaf. Titcomb Mountain’s new managers, Jaime Ranger and Megan Roberts, will also be available.

A multi-tier of prices are available based on family size and options, including whether a downhill, nordic or combination pass is purchased, Ranger said. There are also payment plans available.

“This is basically an open house,” she said. “Come and meet the new co-managers and Seth.”

The Early Pass Blast will be the first of two, the second one being held toward the end of October.

Volunteers have been busy replacing two T-Bar cables, painting the buildings, reshingling the roof of the lodge and getting ready for the season.

Tim Norton is the new mechanical supervisor. He has experience at Sugarloaf and Saddleback, and is very familiar with Titcomb’s Groomer #7 because he used it at Sugarloaf.

Free popcorn will be served.
