Llewellyn Jensen made 12 saves on the day for the Red Eddies (2-0-1). Jon Roux stopped nine shots for the Eagles (2-2-1).

Lawrence 2, Mt. Blue 1

FARMINGTON — With the score even at half, Zach Peters put one in the back of the net to give Lawrence the lead, as they snuck past Mt. Blue 2-1 in boys’ soccer action.

Nick Blomerth tallied the other goal for the Bulldogs, while Zachary Alley made eight saves in net. Ike Doiron scored the lone goal for the Cougars (2-2), while Colton Lawrence stopped four shots.

Hall-Dale 6, Lisbon 0

FARMINGDALE — Nat Crocker registered three goals for the hat trick, as Hall-Dale cruised past Lisbon 6-0 in boys’ MVC soccer action.

Jacob Young, Steven Longfellow and Sam Moulton each added a goal on the day for the Bulldogs (4-0). Brian Allen got the win in net, making seven saves. Nate Bergeron stopped nine shots in net for the Greyhounds.

Girls’ Soccer

Oxford Hills 4, Lewiston 2

LEWISTON — Oxford Hills won its second game of the season with a 4-2 win over Lewiston Tuesday.

Coley Zufelt scored a pair of goals while Mikayla Morin and Ellex Loper each scored for the Vikings (2-0).

Zufelt had both of her goals in the first half while Morin as tallied for a 3-0 lead. Lewiston (0-3-1) got its goals in the second half from Adela Kaliliwa and Mikaela St. Laurent.

St. Dom’s 1, Spruce Mtn. 0

JAY — Faith Grady found the back of the net on a feed from Marley Byrne in the first half as St. Dom’s snuck away with a win against Spruce Mtn., 1-0, in girls’ soccer.

Nicole Robitaille kept her team in it, making 10 saves on 14 shots for the Saints (4-0). Emily Keene stopped 14 shots for the Phoenix (1-2), while Vanese Barnes made key defensive plays.

Monmouth 8, Boothbay 0

MONMOUTH — Haley Fletcher fired three goals into the net for the hat trick, as Monmouth swamped Boothbay 8-0 in MVC soccer action Tuesday. Sammy Grandahl made multiple plays for the Mustangs (3-1), netting two goals while assisting one.

Sabrina Beck, Paxton Lessard, and Caleigh Copeland each tallied a goal for Monmouth. Mikayla Cameron and Maddie Neel combined to stop three shots for the Mustangs. Jamie Wheeler made 18 saves in net for the Seahawks in the loss.

Oak Hill 3, Telstar 2

BETHEL — Oak Hill received goals from three different players to gain the advantage, slipping past Telstar 3-2 in girls’ varsity soccer. Charlotte Waterman, Christie Daigle and Kayla Jones each tallied a goal for the Raiders (2-1).

Keeper Kelsey Collins kept things close for the Raiders, making eight saves on 10 shots.

Casey Blaszczak was the only player to find the back of the net for  Telstar, scoring twice. Tehya Johnson made 12 saves in net for the Rebels (0-3).

Oxford Hills 4, Brunswick 0

PARIS — Freshman Haley Wakefield rattled home two goals in her varsity debut, lifting Oxford Hills past Brunswick 4-0 on Tuesday.

Caity Bernier and Whitney Morse each notched a goal on the day, while Tayla Smedberg added an assist.

Shannon Fillebrown and Caroline Feeney shared keeper responsiblities, as Oxford Hills remains unbeaten on the season (5-0). Jordan VanSavage had a solid day in net, making 20 saves for the Dragons.

Freeport 5, Poland 2

POLAND — Meagan Peacock set the tone, scoring twice in the first half, leading Freeport to a 5-2 victory over Poland in varsity field hockey.

Bailey Coffin, Abby Smith and Hannah Williams found the back of the net for the Falcons (2-3). Freeport goalkeeper Morgan Karnes faced eight shots, stopping six.

Kyla Sturtevant and Emily Gibson added in the only goals for the Knights, with an assist coming from Amanda Dube. Liz Callahan and Sadie Archer shared time in net, saving 6 out of 11 shots faced.

Spruce Mtn. 9, Boothbay 0

BOOTHBAY — Kayla Meserve led Spruce Mountain with three goals, while Nicole Hamblin and Morgan Fournier added two apiece as the Phoenix flew past Boothbay 9-0 in MVC field hockey action Tuesday.

Randi Duguay and Elizabeth Chretien also scored for Spruce Mountain (4-0-1), while LaDesta Tracy added two assists and Hamblin and Brooke Cushing chipped in with an assist each.
