My wife and I read the article (Sept. 12) about the students at Walton School. Many young students pledged to do something positive to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

To witness those young students giving of themselves is a true inspiration for everyone. It demonstrates that good can overcome evil.

We thank the teachers who inspire their students to be loving and kind adults. Let us hope and pray that this new generation will be the driving force in our world’s future.

May the teachers and students realize how very special they are. We are very proud of them.
