AUBURN — St. Michael’s Episcopal Church has called The Rev. Dan Warren.

Warren grew up in Windsor, Conn., along the Connecticut River north of Hartford. He attended the Windsor Public Schools, graduated from Yale University and taught at the East Harlem Block Schools in New York City before attending the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass.

He has served parishes in Toledo, Ohio; New York City, Providence, R.I.; and most recently in Brunswick. He is married to Meg Little Warren, who is now teaching immigrants for Portland Adult Education.

Fr. Dan has also served as an associate chaplain at Bates College and participated in the multi-faith chaplaincy at Maine Medical Center.

They have two young adult sons who live in Somerville, Mass., and Seattle, Wash.

Fr. Warren enjoys singing, painting and the many outdoor activities in Maine.

One of the key characteristics that drew Fr. Dan to St. Michael’s is his love for Sundays and his need to celebrate Holy Eucharist. Since he retired from St. Paul’s in Brunswick, Fr. Dan has longed for that time even though he had been attending and singing each Sunday. His commitment to Sundays was a perfect match for the St. Michael’s family. Also, he has been loyal to the pastoral needs of his parishioners and has provided spiritual leadership.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church is an active congregation performing many outreach programs, tending to the pastoral needs of its parishioners as well as those in need in local care facilities. Masses are held each Sunday at 8 a.m. and at 10 a.m. with music. The children’s Joyful Noise Choir rehearses at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday School starts at 9.
