JAY — Spruce Mountain utilized six different scorers as they routed Boothbay 10-1 in girls’ soccer action Monday.

Megan Duval and Hayley Doyen led the way, scoring a combined five goals and four assists. Sarah Collins, Vanese Barnes and Kailee Newcomb each tallied a goal, while Alexa Perkins found the back of the net twice for the Phoenix (7-1).

Sinead Miller scored the lone goal on Boothbay, while Jaime Wheeler made 15 saves for the Seahawks.

Winthrop 0, Telstar 0 (2OT)

BETHEL — With both teams attempting to clinch their first victory of the season, Telstar and Winthrop remained scoreless through two overtime periods as they settled for a 0-0 deadlock in MVC girls’ soccer.

Telstar outshot the Ramblers 32-2 on the day, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Haley Choate stopped all 32 shots, while Tehya Johnson made two saves.

Mt. Abram 1, Dirigo 0

SALEM — Emma Houston notched the go ahead goal off a corner kick, as Mt. Abram snuck past Dirigo 1-0 in MVC girls’ soccer.

Aly Lopez made seven saves in net for the Roadrunners (4-2). Mariah Lafleur turned back six saves on 10 shots for the Cougars (2-3).

Hall-Dale 3, Mtn. Valley 0

FARMINGDALE — Hall-Dale was paced by three different players, all tallying a goal and an assist, as the Bulldogs topped Mountain Valley 3-0 in MVC girls’ soccer action.

Maura Stottler, Lilly Ly and Eva Shepherd all notched a goal and an assist, while Olivia Maynard got the shutout in net, making two saves. Karen Flaherty had a solid day in net for the Falcons, stopping 20 shots.

Wiscasset 2, St. Dom’s 0

WISCASSET — Sarah Hanley and Miranda McIntire fired a goal each into the back of the net, upsetting St. Dom’s 2-0 in girls’ varsity soccer.

Michaela Truseau made four saves on the day, one in the second half that almost was the equalizer, for the Wolverines (3-2-1). Keeper Kelly Pomerleau made eight saves for the Saints (5-1). Marley Byrne led the offense at center-mid.

Field Hockey

Lisbon 4, Hall-Dale 0

LISBON FALLS — Hannah Jordan and Arianna Kahler rattled in a pair of goals each as Lisbon shut out Hall-Dale 4-0 in varsity field hockey action.

Olivia Harrington had an assist while Stevie Charest took the win in net for the Greyhounds (6-0-1). Molly French made 18 saves in net for the Bulldogs (3-5).

Winthrop 4, St. Dom’s 0

AUBURN — Winthrop netted three goals in the second half to cruise past St. Dom’s 4-0 in MVC field hockey action. Emma Spahr led the Ramblers (6-1) with two goals in the game.

Rachel Ingram and Emily Molino notched a goal each , while Ingram added an assist. Goaltender Taylor Bergeron made 26 saves for the Saints (1-7).
