- Auburn police and fire departments responded to a minor accident at the intersection of Washington and Chasse streets, northbound, Wednesday around 11 a.m. According to police, a driver from Massachusetts in the silver Chevrolet on the flatbed wrecker had pulled over on Washington Street to figure out directions. When she pulled back into the travel lane, the car and an R.C. Moore tractor-trailer collided. The woman was transported to Central Maine Medical Center as a precaution.
