Dr. Ted Stratman measures the surface electrical activity of Erik Dube’s muscles during the 10th annual Kid’s Day America at Lewiston High School on Saturday. Stratman of Lewiston is one of five chiropractors and one of many local volunteers who treated children to a day dedicated to health, safety and environmental awareness. Stratman’s wife, Dr. Chandra Sasseville, started the event ten years ago with 50 kids in her office on Sabattus Street. More than 500 children attended Saturday’s Kid’s Day for teeth and eye screenings as well as fingerprinting and free food. The event raised more than $4,000 and all proceeds will benefit New Beginnings. Dube’s mother, Rachel Henson, is at left.
