Morrissey

NEW GLOUCESTER — John and Phyllis Morrissey of New Gloucester recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on the Portland waterfront.

Mr. Morrissey and the former Phyllis Francour were married on Sept. 7, 1963, at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Bouhot. They have three children: two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jim Fossett of Poland and Maureen and Joey Myrick of Lewiston; and one son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Jen Morrissey of Scarborough.

They have eight very special grandchildren, Nicole Breau and her husband, Chris, Sarah and John Fossett, Katie and Matt Myrick and Andrew, Josh and Christin Morrissey; and one great-granddaughter, Lydia Breau.

Mr. Morrissey was a successful entrepreneur, a founder and CEO of MAAC, until he retired in 2001. Mrs. Morrissey, a homemaker until her youngest went off to college, and then worked at Gastroenterology Associates for 11 years. They now enjoy their summers at Sabbathday Lake and their winters in Vero Beach, Fla.
