- Francis Gagnon, foreground, of Lewiston, his 7-year-old son, Paul, left, and 11-year-old son, Steven, right, join Tim Griffin of Auburn during the “Lewiston Unites Community Clean-Up” in downtown Lewiston on Sunday. Twenty-two people hit the streets during the third and final cleanup of this year, said community organizer Shanna Rogers. “I have been cleaning up around my block for years,” said Gagnon, who lives on College Street and takes mattresses, old tires and Christmas trees that he finds to the dump on a regular basis. Following the cleanup, volunteers were treated to an ice cream party at The Center for Wisdom’s Women.
