What-Not-Shop wants planters
RUMFORD — People who have planters that are in good shape are asked to donate them to the What-Not-Shop, which will reuse them in the Briar Patch Greenhouse in the spring.
Rumford quilters to meet Oct. 10
RUMFORD — RAQ (Rumford Area Quilters) will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street, Rumford.
The 12.5-inch fun fabric squares will be collected and ideas will be discussed for tree ornaments for the Festival of Trees in December. Information will be available for those making the mystery quilt project.
The fall fabric swap will be “tone on tone,” all-cotton material, washed and dried, cut in 6.5-inch squares. Approximately 30 squares needed for the swap.
A machine paper piecing demonstration is planned. All area quilters invited. For more information call 562-7050.
Stephens High Class of 1963
FARMINGTON — The Stephens High School Class of 1963 of Rumford will hold their monthly luncheon at noon Friday, Oct. 11, at the Harvest House.
